Vintage Lace Junk Journal

by Margarete Miller
(Los Gatos, CA)

I've always wanted to make a junk journal entirely dedicated to beautiful lace, and finally I've done it! I took a selection of lace pieces and chose a digital collection to help me pull it together in a junk journal. "Mabel's Diary" turned out to be prefect for what I wanted because the colors used in the kit -- red, black, cream, and white -- pair up so well with the lace I used.

thanks for the inspiration

Such a great idea and beautiful execution! I have to admit that I intend to duplicate your idea for myself...have so many pretty snippets of my great-grandmother's laces. This will preserve them and do them justice! thanks again :)

Wow! I love everything about this work of art. The colors and the textures are amazing! I do live in Northern Calif. and I will definitely be looking into the lace museum in Sunnyvale. TFS!

Using lace
by: Anonymous

Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful journal. I have been collecting lace for over 30 years now and have used some of it in my fabric books. Using it in a junk journal is such a great idea. I think I will have to try this with the next one I make.

Vintage Lace

Love your journal......I found the different lace very interesting. I am new to journaling and have a new found interest in lace. Even bought a top on sale last year because it had interesting lace on the hem......I figured if it didn't fit or I didn't like least I would have the beautiful lace! Thank you for the inspiration!
