'Things With Wings' - Doodle Glue Book/Junk Journal

As a digital designer, part of my work involves printing my digis before I list them in my shops, to make sure they look good on paper. That often leaves me with alot of image scraps to play with.

One day, as I was going through my 'junk' drawer, the inspiration came to me to create a junk journal that I could doodle in. The drawer was full of gelli plate prints, scraps of patterned paper, and EVG test printables.

I used a file folder to create the base of the cover and made three signatures that I sewed with a pamphlet stitch. Once the pages were sewn in, I embellished the cover and the pages. I sometimes call my jj's 'glue books' when they are embellished with various things such as paper, lace trims and other things. Everything is just pasted onto the pages in layers.

This became my evening doodle book while I watch tv. Here's my video flip-through.
