Tattered {Vintage} Glue Book

by Debbie-Anne

This glue book is one of my favorite junk journal projects so far. A glue book is when you create collages on your journal pages. This one has more of a mixed media vibe since I added dimensional elements. A glue book can hold a combination of things you like and collect - vintage ephemera, magazine images, items such as buttons, lace, fabric. Anything goes!

To make my journal, I used a vintage book cover (I took out the entire text block) and created new signatures (paper sections) with plain coffee dyed paper. I only sewed in a few pages per signature to give myself plenty of room for the book to expand (total of 24 page sides). I then decorated my pages with printables from my 'Shabby N' Chic' collection as well as vintage button cards, lace and more.

This is a keepsake book and not for journaling. So fun and easy to make! Here's a look inside, along with a demonstration of how I embellished the pages once the book was assembled:

dazed and confused

I am so delightfully confused!! I am new to this group. All of the beautiful journals are a bit above my experience level and this glue book touched me. I am loaded with the 'ingredients' from making Renaissance garb for 20 years. Thank You, thank you for this last video.
