Sewing In Junk Journals
by: Debbie-Anne

I sew in my junk journals two ways.

1) If the journal is already assembled and can't be put through the sewing machine, I sew through the top layer of paper and then glue it to the next layer on a page. This makes it look like I've sewn right through the page. I like to leave long threads to add to the shabby vintage look.

2) If my signatures aren't sewn in yet, I add stitching wherever it's needed on my page before assembling my journal.

I hope that helps!

Sewing on paper
by: Anonymous

I love your section that you did on that but I was wondering like when you see pages sewn on top of pages and the thread is left long and uncut. I am sure if I google it I can find something. Google is a girls best friend :) thanks Debbie!

If you mean sewing signatures, I have a pamphlet stitch tutorial here. It shows tips for sewing them from start to finish.
