Miss Lady Fay Altered Book
Junk Journal

Hi Everyone! Thank you so much for stopping by! I'm happy you decided to visit me!

One of my favorite projects is this altered book junk journal I made using Miss Lady Fay. First of all, the kit is gorgeous and I love the big bold flowers/colors. Secondly, altering books is fun and easy to do. You can use an old, vintage book, or one that is new. The newer ones don't require much refurbishing. For this one, I decided to paint the cover to match the colors of the kit. I then added a clear coating on top to seal it. I did a lot of sewing in this journal! I love the look of the threads hanging from the edges of the pages. It gives it a real shabby feel.

Don't be afraid to "gut" old books that you don't have a use for! They make wonderful journal covers! Also, don't be afraid to mix scrapbook paper with the digital kits. You can use up your stash of papers by matching colors to the kit. Have fun adding stitching, trims, laces, and other embellishments! The sky is the limit! Thanks for stopping by today!

One Of My Favorites Too!
by: Debbie-Anne

This is definitely one of my favorites too. I've seen you use this collection many times and I never get tired of the details you add to your amazing creations. You are one-of-a-kind and so is your art. I love the color of this cover, it's so perfect and so vintage. Thanks for the great tips also! xo
