I was going through my past projects and came across some postcards I made in 2014. They were so easy and fun to make!
For the postcards, I started by creating a large 12x12 collage background and cutting it down into 6 pieces measuring 4x6" each. Then I cut my elements and glued them to each postcard. Here's how I did it:
Finding these postcards reminded me of a few envelopes I also made around that time to mail to a few friends (see photos). They were large manila envelopes that I cut open, painted and printed on my Gelli plate. Then I created collages on the front and back using my 'Happy Place' printables. For added texture and detail I did random zigzag stitching and doodles before gluing and sewing them closed again. Those were equally fun and easy to create.
I wanted to share these ideas to show how collage art can be used to create functional paper crafts besides our beloved gluebooks. Consider collage art on gift tags, greeting cards, gift boxes and more!
