Looking for adhesive suggestions for attaching lace.

What kind of adhesive do people use to attach lace to a journal cover? The ones I have seen with lace on the spine or elsewhere look so neat...no glue leaking through. Maybe it's a matter of technique? I'm wanting to try this but am so messy!

RIBBON GLUE OR THE ULTIMATE
by: JENNIFER

I use Ribbon Glue for very fine lace or ribbons or Crafter's Pick the Ultimate (which is perfect for all embellishments on the cover)

Tape
by: Patricia

It sounds weird but I've been using thin score tape. It really works. Holds very good. You can't see it and no glue gobs. 😀

Good old white glue
by: Rhella

I use Elmer's white glue for almost everything except leather {rubber cement is best that}. I have a good paint brush I keep sitting in water and I use the brush to spread/smear/stipple the glue all over whatever it is I'm doing. Great technique for getting into corners and right up to edges. If you find the glue isn't spreading well, just dip the brush in water, blot and continue. I haven't had a problem yet.
For extra strength, I sometimes 'borrow' my husband carpenters glue. He uses Elmer's too.. Love the stuff! Dries clear, mixes well with water.. Soap and water cleanup ;)

Hi Heather, I use mostly Fabri-Tac and sometimes The Ultimate Glue by Crafter's Pick.
