Dear Diary -
Vintage Junk Journal

by Margarete Miller
(Los Gatos, CA)

Mabel's Diary is my absolute favorite digital kit to work with. The colors and combinations of designs are vivid and elegant. I get so many ideas of how to embellish my pages from this kit, thus making the experience of gathering and assembling all my bits and pieces quite a lot of fun.

I hope my project inspires you to make a vintage junk journal you absolutely love!

Very nice video

You did an awesome job on this journal...I liked that there wasn't too much or too overdone on the "decorating" but enough to have a fantastic book for someone to add their own personalization. LOVE IT!!

Loved Your Project, but have question
by: Vicki Bodine

I would love to do some altered books but do not know how to sew. Is there any way you can glue the pages into the book instead of sewing?

Beautiful Junk Journal
by: Sharon Smith

I love your journal. I really like your style, with a clean, uncluttered look. Sometimes less IS more. You've done a great job bringing in coordinating items from other collections. That's one thing Debbie Anne is famous for, her mix and match signature style.

What do you do with them?

What do you do with the junk journals when you are finished. Are they for photos...just to write in...what. And who uses them?

Great covers!

I loved learning the technique for making the beautiful covers and I also enjoyed seeing how Mabel's Diary combined so beautifully with your lace and ephemera collections. Thanks for sharing this!

This one of the most beautiful examples of Junk Journaling I have seen! It is so clean and sturdy that one should be able to use it for years. Thank you for sharing your tips and this gorgeous piece of art. Shari

Thanks for sharing your process for the cover...I hadn't thought of adding the tissue layer and it adds such great texture and interest...Dixx

Margarete - I really love how you have used so many of the freebies from Debbie-Anne that coordinate with Mabel's Diary. Your vintage ephemera is also a wonderful addition. Great journal and inspiring!
