Creating a Signature

Hi! I just bought several kits including Butterfly Kisses and Queen Bee and I am stuck. My question is: how do you create a signature from the kit if the pages print out at approx. 7 x 9 ? I want my journal to be at least 7 x 9, not smaller. I kind of thought that one should always fold the papers in half to create part of the signature.
Do I glue two pages together to create part of one signature? if so, with washi tape or duck tape?
Please can you help? I finished my journal cover and it measures approx. 7 3/4" x 10". It needs to be that size because I need to stick photos into it from all my travels.
Thank you so much. I am sorry to keep asking questions but I am a beginner.
Thank you for any help.

Hi Sabina, there's a kit in the store called Steampunk Voyage that is travel themed. Have fun!

creating a signature

Thank you, Debbie. I just saw the email coming in and I am smiling from ear to ear. I will use a strip of paper. Great idea. You have no idea how eager I am to start putting my signatures together! My cover looks ok with the cardboard box - not perfect but then I want it to be 'casual'. It's a journal about all my moves around the world (53 times) and different places, so not so perfect. But I want to start with it. I am finding that so far I can use various papers from your kits and mix and mingle. Ijust love your work.

As an idea: can you try and perhaps design a kit for a Travel Journal?

Making signatures

Hi Sabina, washi tape probably won't be strong enough and duct tape will be too thick if you're doing it on several pages.

Instead, you could attach pages by adding a strip of paper down the center and gluing it to each of the pages. Most of my kits are made to create signatures but one of the Butterfly Kisses kits was designed to alter a composition notebook which is already assembled and then you just glue the images inside the notebook.

I hope that helps.
