Love your site, I have learnt so much. Could you tell me what is the best paper to use for coffee dyeing. I have used copy paper but find it a bit flimsy ?

Coffee Dyeing
by: NedraJ

When I first started dyeing I used a pan with coffee or tea...piled the sheets in and the carefully pulled them out. The copy paper sometimes tore. So now I cover my counter with old towels and put the coffee into a spray bottle. I spray one side of the paper (saturate it) and turn it over and spray the other side. I get great color/variations but I think the paper holds together better than soaking it in the coffee.

Copy Paper Weight
by: Debbie-Anne

Hi Elaine

I'm not sure what the weight translates to in the England but I've found that 20lb paper is not substantial enough. I prefer 24 or 28lb.
